Beating faster

 

 

As I begin to sigh,

my heart beats faster, threatening to make me cry.

 

No tears of sorry for me tonight,

just tears of joy as you steal my heart.

 

It has never beaten this fast,

not even when I thought I was in love for the first time in my life.

 

It makes me weak unable to think,

this heart you have stolen I give to you freely.

 

Please be careful and treat it with love,

the last one who did stepped on it as it began to shatter and fall apart.

Sometimes you need to jump in with two feet wrong, I don't know much about all this kind of stuff (yet) but what I do know is that we take risks and hope they work and if not, we get a broken heart but we do move on, life does go on and we find someone who actually deserves our heart.
