Just a touch

 

 

 

Held in each others glance,

nothing else exists.

 

My breath caught in a moment of exhale,

my heart beating faster.

 

You try to breathe,

your lips unable to form your thoughts.

 

Slowly we reach for each other,

as electricity sparks through our bodies.

 

In a fleeting moment time stood still...

 

Our hearts became one,

with just a touch.

My favorite part is right before the electricity, when they wanted each other but hadn't touched yet, but reached for it.. The anticipation was high. I like the structure; two lines in each verse. It emphasizes that they are two together, alone. Good poem :)
