Our first night together

 

 

Have you been in the desert,

just as the sun laid its head behind the mountains?

 

Laying down in the back of a truck bed,

on a thick pile of blanket for our bed.

 

Miles out of town,

so we could see ALL the stars in the sky.

 

Waiting for a shooting star,

the first one we see together as we hold each other tight?

 

Cover us up in a blanket,

and hold your body close to mine.

 

This my love would be the first of perfect nights with you.
