My red red roseA Poem by ronMy
red red rose
Could
a love be so much like a sweet flower in bloom? Could
it be the beating of your heart?
My
dear sweet lassie you are like the love, that
sings in my heart.
I
would place my heart in your hands, I
would place all that I am in your grace.
So
fare thee well my sweet love, until
we meet in the glens that shadow your heart.
It
will grow like the red red rose, of
Scotland with her wild flowers.
My
love for you will grow more and more, no
force on earth shall quell its power.
For
as the garden of Scotland grows, so
shall my love for you grow.
In
all seasons you will, make
the seasons of my heart beat strong and proud.
So
fare thee will my sweet love, my
heart does not beat without your love, that
plays in tune with your passion.
