Nothing



Not time nor distance,
could fill the void,
that separates us.

Not a moment lost,
could be regained.

Our hearts one,
yet they are separated,
by the pain of loneliness.

How could love bring us together,
and allow a simple desire,
keep us apart?

well Ron, this one is short, yet deep and moving.. definitely tugs on the heartstrings you do so well.. makes the reader's heart go out to the speaker.. does feel a little contradictory but overall effective..
