A thousand things I have missed

 

 

One step closer to the day you left me,

the day I left you.

 

I never intended us to be so far apart,

every day I think of you,

is another day that my heart breaks.

 

I miss your pancakes and coffee in the morning,

I miss seeing you wiping away the sleepiness from your eyes,

as you smile at me early in the morning.

 

I miss the way you smile when you have just wake up,

I miss your hugs.

 

I miss a thousand sighs and breathless moments,

I miss a thousand things that only a father can see.

 

And I miss a thousand things about you,

that no one could ever see.
