Stepping stone

Stepping stone.

Just a stepping stone in someone's life.

Their needs fulfilled, desires explored.

They stayed a short time in my life,
perhaps that's all they wanted.

I was happy to at least have that.
After all they cared for me for a moment in their life.

a very relatable poem that is evocative of one cherishing another whose feelings are far from being reciprocated.

or i personally think this poem portrays the sin of lust?
