Earthquake Rupture

''lOVE is vibration'' like ocean waves.

                               There's an earthquake rupture

                                               exploding deep inside

 

                                               this feeling I get

                                               when we're apart 

                                               faults are displaced 

                                               along these crusty plains

                                              leaving cracks inside 

                                                     my veins

 

                                               the magnitude energy 

                                               measures; fractures of pain. 

                                           

                                               while this pen records 

                                                     your name

                                               components of motion

                                               displacement of change 

                                              to focus on the ''aftershock''

                                                   that Love is to Blame.

i love how you carry the metaphor so perfectly throughout the poem...very clever...especially like "faults are displaced"

we live right on a fault line here in southern illinois, always waiting for the big one...

sort of like with love...we wait for that quake to hit us...and then hope to keep love alive with the aftershocks...

My magtrometer says this is 10 magitude, my senses says more subsurface evaluation . The duel meanings of a lot of the words makes this over the top. Gives new meaning to "Rock your world" !
