Feeling My Wings

Feeling My Wings

A Poem by rubie

When passion only brings muted ecstasy

And your powerless strength no longer fortifies me

I’ll shed the blanket of you that once warmed me

Why should I settle into your nest of twigs

Only to be fed your worms of wisdom ?

I’d rather feast on love and

flourish in the garden of someone else’s delight

Leaving submission to take flight

And welcome the harbinger of my freedom

This is brilliant! This is 3 for 3 of yours that I've really felt and connected with. You're starting to scare me. ;)
