post love-making vulnerability allows that childhood innocence to appear satisfyingly in an awestruck smile... I really love how you leave it to the imagination of the reader to piece together the moments leading up to that smile while retaining the sense of innocence throughout... and, the use of 'embryonic' is genius in likening the quiet smile of contentment after making love to the contentment in the womb..
