I like to find a perspective to everything - I think it helps to keep me focused, and gives me the perseverance to go on, no matter how dim that light at the end of the tunnel may be.
You are a most indulging, engaging read, Rubie!

Appreciate the review, and your kind words, Kelly!
At first, when I saw just your captivating title, the very first thing that entered my mind's.. the movie called "7:39".. but when I read what you stirred inside with with insights felt like: "Oh.. that's twisting". Your poetry has no explanation in words, only the hearts understand it well deeply so do I. Nice imagery!

Love your review!
Thank you so much for your keen insight.
What is a heart without hope, Rubie? It does wear on a hopeful heart to see an infest of greed, disregard, and lack of compassion. It's a disease and people like you, are the antidote :)

Thank you for your beautiful sentiments.
Much appreciated!
Wow Rubie! To me this one speaks of someone almost to the breaking point with no hope for a better tomorrow. These lines in particular...(so why don’t I just do it? stop riding this train and catch the next one) Seems that the writer is contemplating suicide. My interpretation may be way off the mark of course, but your post DID touch me deeply and THAT after all, is truly what each writer aims for. ~Sharon

So glad to hear this piece reached you. It matters less how it did, just that it did.

Thanks for the kind words.
When people around us keep taking and giving nothing back in return, how it can be so draining and make us want to give it all in
But then there is that flicker of hope that is always burning no matter how dimly!
Brilliant write Rubie! :)

Yes, it is always there, and I think that's what keeps us going.
Ahh, yes. At times, overwhelmed by the outrageous things happening around us, and how the powerful ones do not give but only take, when the suffering and the pain gets tangible in the most intimate way, we like to give an end to this sherade.
And then -- hope reigns! :D
"that tiny speck of Bunsen burner/on the moon/far away but visible"
ah yes....that speck that keeps us going when it seems pointless...I like that little flicker in this, even with all the questions that remind me of Plath and Sexton....weighing why stay?
