A Story by ruth
"

The most beautiful smile I ever saw…

"
I was sitting on a bench in the park. She walked past me, nodding briefly. I just stared back at her face, her beautiful face, speechless. As I trailed behind her, she noticed and walked a bit faster. I sped up as well. The speed kept increasing and increasing until we were both in full sprint. She stopped abruptly; as did I before I ran into her. When I looked down, there was a knife in me-- in her hand, the handle. She left before I fell. Disappeared. Never to be seen by the world again.

unsolved mysteries are always so interesting to me. i mean, can you believe it? killing someone and getting away with it for your entire life.

Wow. This is very alluring. When I read this, it reminds me of unrequited love.

Compact and complete. It also reads like something I would do if a stranger actually started running after me when I started running! Never contemplated getting away with it so easily though...thanks for the heads up.
