Desert Sunrise

Sunrise over the desert

A Glorious blazing spectacle of molten fire,

claws it's way through the clouds and fog

over the mountains to the east.

As the last lingering shadows are washed away

with warm, soft, glowing Orange light,

The Sun stands tall over the valley,

Unblinking,

and the creatures of the Night seek refuge in their holes

Thank you, I wrote it while watching a particularly epic sun rise over the mountains to the east of Las Vegas, trying my best to put what I felt into words. It was much more beautiful than my poem.
