Girl

Dunno how I feel about this one.

I am not deeply profound.
I am not a poet,
nor am I a painter,
I am merely a girl.
In the midst
of all this soul-searching,
I've come to realize
that most things don't matter,
that changes move within the familiar,
that I still remember the taste of the ocean,
that I can't pretend,
to you or myself,
that'll I'll ever be more
than just that:
a girl.

I love it. You see who you are. Nothing more and nothing less. In my opinion, that is one of the most important things a person can do in their life, figure out who they are. You know who you are, and you're better of for it. Awesome flow and words choice. Favorite line: "changes move within the familiar". Now THAT'S poetry.
