Brown Eyes

Brown Eyes

A Poem by Soul Asher

Those brown eyes of yours,
Gentle and kind,
Remind me of a time
When I felt love.
The other brown eyes
That lied and broke promises
Have been replaced with yours.
Now I see waves of amber
And the dark side of the moon,
The sound of crackling fire
And the feeling of wind.
Play me like an old piano,
Perfectly out of tune
And I'll pluck your strings
To create a flawed melody
That sounds wonderful
To just the two of us.
Forget the brown eyes
That once pulled me in.
Only think of
The beautiful spheres
That are your eyes.
Your brown eyes
That will make me forget
That anyone else has them.
