Shortest Love Story

I have written this in talehunt

We both knew that we were soulmates. We exchanged gazes for longtime and then turned faces. We were of different colors. We were not brave enough. We decided to move on.

I love your short short short creation. This tells an age-old story in an unusual way. I kinda hate the word "soulmates" becuz it's over-used & abused. Also, for the last sentence, I would delete "had" becuz then the tense matches the rest of your story. Otherwise, you've done a good job telling a whole story in very few words.
