Hi samanthaashley. Your footnote says it all!!! I too, believe addiction is an accident, but one waiting to happen for those people who believe they have nowhere else to turn. I have been told the best therapists are those who have been there and done that, but I am not so sure, many are just temporary visitors back in the 'real world'. You have a very succinct style of writing, and I love it, alf

thank you for this! I definitely think the best therapists are the ones who have gone through struggles that are similar to their clients' struggles. experience won't make much of a difference if you don't use it to identify the BS and call clients out on it!

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? If I view this from the "Glass is half full p.o.v", then i feel she has got a chance to come out of her addiction, for the person sitting before her is the living proof for the same.....Brevity is the key to great thoughts, I feel. This is an excellent write. It can inject so much into the mind of the reader. Good one :)
