A SCOTTISH TRIBUTE

A Poem by Salvatore Buttaci
"

In every country the people should be grateful to those who won them liberty.

"

Robert Bruce, ay, thaur was a mon!

A tell ye, a hero, a wirk o’ perfiction!

verra brave Earl o’ Carrick,

leukin tae save Scotland

frae Edward o’ England,

did so at Bannockburn in 1314.

A dinna ken a nobler sire

in a’ history like guid King Robert.

A pure loue ye!

Nae anither of auld

who gae more.

A’d like tae veesit back then
