In my mind...

In my mind...

A Poem by Sameeksha Vadisherla
"

we suffer more in imagination than in reality.

"

Lost in a maze,

roses appear as thorns in my first gaze.

on their petals, my fingers graze,

no splinters rise; what a surprise!

was it all in my head? I thought,

the wind blew in my hair, a gentle praise.

Walking through the tunnel,

I do not see an end,

is what I comprehend.

I walk, walk, and walk,

only to find myself in a garden.

Mad hatter awaits me there.

He says, "Beautiful, beautiful garden,

calm your mind, it's not a den.''

In the garden, among the floral scents,

I found my peace.

Pulled down the curtains in my mind,

tired of the fabric of thought;

all the knitted tales went in vain, for good.

our imaginations can really run wild.....when I daydream (a lot) it usually happens that crazy thoughts come to mind, then i snap out of it into reality...sometimes imaginations are exhausting because they take up a lot of our energy... so, it's nice to come back to reality and relax..." all the knitted tales went in vain for good", i guess if you are in a maze, roses can feel like thorns, at once they feel like silk.
Nice write

Sameeksha, you have written a tome in your words. a story of how and where to go on a personal journey.

'In the garden, among the floral scents,
I found my peace.
Pulled down the curtains in my mind,
tired of the fabric of thought;
all the knitted tales went in vain, for good.'

How beautiful it can be. A garden might have weeds, thorns, failure but if one learns the rules on how to.. a garden of plants is/can be a remedy for virtually anything. Hours in a garden is a life saver, a rescuer, a lover - and more. Your poem is both a friend and town crier who can truly teach those waiting a 'how to live and love' : read the poem written by Sameeksha. Many, many thanks
