Go forth and tellA Poem by Sami KhalilGo forth and tell by Sami Khalil An English Sonnet... Go forth and tell them all, I am not dead Nor that I fall asleep or pine away I ween nay to harken weavers of dread Mark my cotton words of love night and day. Careless the scornful man who sings not praise Blase’ to the highest calling around Behind us birth, before us boundless ways Shrug off the crowds, embrace all sounds and sight. The world can be bitter, the winds howling Wars can cast stark layers of uncertainty There are those who grapple with life, doubting And those who triumph through adversity. Go forth and tell all, pull back the arras For I’m the buds of spring, the blazoned class. © 2025 Sami KhalilReviews
