A deserved homageA Poem by Sami KhalilRomance...A deserved homage
by
Sami Khalil A prose poem The day I saw you was an instant “Valentine’s Day” a rivalry of emotions a smorgasbord of thoughts a legacy of love to stay tucked away in my heart’s emporium shelves calling jazz quartets regular guests on the show a smooth, grandiose experiment in fancy delights like Mistletoes over the head past the hapless dread of endless lonely nights. The day I saw you I showed signs of new life Thus, began energy and purpose A new gallant man or soldier to who service was a gift a counter-thinker of impressions ready to be
molded and ripe for picking a different palaver of
veracity in action a verdant, green paradise. The day I saw you was born to die; now born to live and pay love a deserved homage. © 2025 Sami KhalilReviews
