Find the hope, find the love.

Hate me today,

Hate me tomorrow,

Hate me for all the things I never said.

 

You tell me you love me,

You tell me how you feel,

You tell me you hate me,

That none of this is real.

 

You smile and wave,

You frown and sneer,

You tell me i'm funny,

Oh this is so surreal...

You grab my hand,

You pull away,

You look at me,

With nothing to say...

 

Hate me today,

Hate me tomorrow,

Hate me for all the things I said I never did...

 

You tell me I lie,

Even though it's the truth,

You give me glares,

'Coz there's no proof...

 

You say 'you might have won the battle,

but you haven't won the war',

I look away in sadness,

I sink to the floor...

 

Why is this happening?

Who are these people?

Make them go away,

Make things simple.

 

You go away,

to a quiet place,

think things through,

this is just a phase.

 

Find what's real,

find what's true,

find the hope,

given in you.

 

Hold a hand,

of a closest friend,

look them in the eye,

there's no pretense.

 

Tell the truth,

not alie,

He'll smile,

find the love,

given in you.

This seemed like a very sincere write. I have been through relationships like this before and it always left me in an emotional bind. Sometimes I wish people would stop, think and then clearly speak what is on their mind. As to stop the hating today and loving tomorrow phase. Well written and it conveys the emotion with precision. Good write.
