Introversion

Introversion

A Poem by sandpiper66
"

This was written after a busy weekend. It speaks of a need for quiet and reflection

"

It’s easy resting in quiet,

 Hearing only the rush

Of thought.  The interior expression

Of personhood.

Being alone, but not solitary

Is a blessing

A resting place, a cadence

In a world swirling with color,

Bustling with noise and

Distraction.

sandpiper66: I really enjoyed this and you reminded me of the need to meditate; life's too short for the hustle & bustle of life. The time I have here is relaxing. Actually people need to love themselves and find that "alone" time. Well penned. Thanks. Dale

i like this and feel this...i am often alone...but never really lonely....and it is good if we can be our own company and that is enough if needs be.

I agree.
"Being alone, but not solitary
Is a blessing"
Silence can be golden. Can also be lonely. A powerful poem leaving the reader with thoughts and possibilities. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
