Save Yourself

Save Yourself

A Poem by Stacy Lyann
"

No one can save you but yourself

"

Time goes by no in fleeting moments,

But by the rushes of events.

Life is running away

One must be a track star to live it.

Conditioning your body to endure the abuse.

The bruises, scars and breaks,

The doctor visits

The lies

They can see past it all.

“Mandatory reporters”

But only when it’s convenient for themselves.

Only when they need the rush,

Rush of heroism.

The glor and recognition

All for their own fleeting moment.
