The Gray Haven

The Gray Haven calls out to me.

I hear its song

whispered in the wind.

Come my child, come.

I close my eyes,

opening the gate to let that secret escape,

surrendering to the compelling voices of the wind.

I see reality faded into my dream,

a jump, a leap into midair,

feeling the wind pull all around,

like a sinking ship I fall into the song.

I see my crumpled form lying twisted below

crying out to me in the whispers of the wind,

come my child, come.
