Bonds broken

Memories lost

A decaying shadow

All that I've become

A time before

Only a distant thought

Invisible to those

Who I once called family

To start anew

To begin again

A dying battle

Weakening with every step

One move forward

Two moves back

When thoughts prevail

Emotions fail

A life known

But now not there

An unknown past

Disappearing with time
