Gone

Gone

A Poem by The Adventure

To think I cry over a dumb thing like this.

To think such a full-proof plan had gone amiss.

You're supposed to be mine to keep

Instead, I just lie here, trying to count sheep.

In a dark deserted room

I sit and I swoon

Between consciousness and dreams

Where nothing is real as it seems.

Between fact and fiction,

Innocence and conviction

A dream that could never come to pass

A love that could all but last

Too far gone

Far gone...
