The life I wish I had

Home is where the heart is

I'm not ready to grow up. 

Why is life so unfair?

I want to be a little girl again.

I want to walk in my house and see my mom and dad.

Just thinking this way makes so sad.

Things will never be the same.

Both my parents have gone their separate ways.

As have I.

Looking back on my younger years, i'm ready to cry.

Everything I thought life would be was just a big lie.

Maybe I wouldn't mind growing up if I had the perfect family.

A mother in the kitchen, cooking.

A father at work, working.

And myself coming in from a long day of living my own life.

But at least my family would be where there suppose to be.

Home.

I tried to go out of my comfort zone and not rhyme everything for once so bare with me!

Beautiful... Simply beautiful. I can truly see the sadness and want in it, and it would break my heart to know if this were true... :/ My only comment is on the second-to-last line: I think "there" should be "they're". Such a lovely tale you tell within these precious words. We sometimes plan our lives and hope for everything to work out smoothly, but often forget we are still caught in reality and how things can change whenever they feel like, whether we are prepared for them or not. Things in life don't always go as we plan, but all we can really do is go with the flow, roll with the punches and just grin and bear it!

It's good for one to seek outside their comfort zone, esp when expressing
Into any kind of creativity. Not every line in every stanza needs to rhyme,
