"Death"

"Death"

A Poem by Akash Sagar

She is my lady love,
Who sits always by my side;
waiting for me with love,
with her arms open wide.
Like my shadow,
she is somewhere beside in every scene.
Even the light never betrays her;
and in darkness,
Her tender beauty reveals.
Her kingdom her empire,
her name is death;
and she is never a liar.

She addresses me as her fiance,
my maiden soul mate till eternity.
She has silently proposed me so many times;
making me realise of her presence,
Someday of her certainty.
There were times even,
when she wanted to kiss me closely...
Her delay would be a straight No;
or can be a simple thanks.
And I said to her,
Honey, let's save it for the day when we'll finally meet,
to make our honeymoon a warm greet.
She's never turned off;
never angry,
With a fading smile always in her face,
which never actually completely fades.

She is my lady love,
Who sits always by my side;
Waiting for me with love
with arms open wide.
My end will be in her kingdom her empire,
In her arms;
Her name is death,
and she is never a liar.
