Of Magic

Of Magic

A Poem by Kadi

Decadence,
a tattered dinner table
Marvelous,
an awaited letter
Delightment,
word of your arrival

Come in,
for I have fruit to share
We can tune the harp,
and go from there

You and I are snowbirds,
sat at the melting lake

You and I are shadows,
ever faithful to the Day

You and I are skates on ice,
pillars of human grace

Beloved,
I know we don’t have much
but we own it all, don’t you think?
The world is of magic
and it’s because of you and me

I really like this. Lines 12-16 whlere beautiful I feel like it could go on a bit longer. They felt romantic and brought that feeling into the poem. They lifted the poem, I feel it needs to flow a bit more before it ebbs into the ending.
