Television static

Television static

A Poem by Kadi

Television static, shame
you’re built for the pictures
you won’t display

Television static, say,
if I give up the remote,
will you go away?

Television static, play
please please please
if I have to I’ll pray

Television static’s game
a wired mad mess
should we magic eight?

Television static, clay
color. color. color.
what does it take??

Television static, strange
for a second I listen,
for a second you fade

Television static, hey!
you’re screeching again
but I gave my whole day!

Television static craze
your deception of signal
will cause derange

Television static, rage
stubborn as the stoplight
absent green grace
