Restlessness Suspiring

Restlessness Suspiring

A Poem by Saumya

Groggy eyes,
Searching something,
Eclipsed moon,
…resting.
The sky,
Anxious, curious,
Thinking,
What’d next be happening?

A breeze, tantalizing,
Softly approaching,
Or cloudy blankets
Cuddling its sweet slumbering?

The heart,
Mysteriously pounding.
The soul,
Still, yet wandering.
The body,
Stable, yet wondering, watching.

The mind,
Mischievously resting, testing,
Calculating, smiling.

Is this the night’s end?
Is this the day’s commence?
Why is the mind so enormous,
Yet so small then?
Why is the heart so huge,
Yet so small to get through emotions?
Why is the soul so supreme,
Yet so slow for me to get it all then?

The body suspiring,
Chuckling in its innocence"
Can I get back
To greet the day again?
