Syosset

Syosset

A Poem by s.azeem

make of the
end
a turn the bend
behind the
corner
a friend lost
ignore the mourner

of
empty country,
dream impaled
where you'd slept
 silk
       staled.
downstairs
counter
 slice of
pear.

park rangers,
like they know
I breathed that air,
nice to      talk
    again to
strangers.

not that you forget
just don't remember

 keep

the
belt
and my plates

what
I've lent.

not steal just borrow
like the day, though not tomorrow

I am as far

wind carried scent
what am I now that
 I have went.
