Thankfulness Song

 

Thankfulness is

   A hard song to sing.

It speaks to us tender

   Just wanting to bring.

To swell out and speak

   To tell the whole land

That God has now given

   Laura for my hand.

I know it is hard

   To get all things done

To plan for the best

   But mostly to run.

Yet deep in your heart

   A life yearns to live,

It just wants to help

   It just wants to give.

 

Thank you for your desire

To be a help.

'Thankfulness Song'
LSS,
To read a writing about the sweetness of a grown child which shows love by coming alongside 'helping' is just the ticket. I hope that is the subject of your poem. Being a help can be love shown by another just showing up, being there, spending some of their time. This is what so many need.
