What I won't do to get out from under an obligation.

I could write you a tale,
    and peg it with nail,
       and send it as albatross fly.
I could dig a deep pit,
    fill with fuel, quite a bit,
       and light signals of smoke in the sky.
But I'd rather do this,
    blow my thanks with a kiss,
       and mail you a dollar - good bye!
