Lone WolfA Poem by AngelaWolves mate for lifeI've wandered here and there in search of him and have covered many trails I've looked for him my entire life Alas, to no avail
I've seen many suns and endless moons and ever changing seasons Ceaseless roaming, exhausting combing but yet to understand the reasons
Perhaps we crossed upon the street a glance, a smile but did not meet A chance encounter we let pass emotions fragile as broken glass
Time grows short as I age each day and yet I cannot stop From New York to LA I've been each way Such weariness, I want to drop
Where are you my love? must I go on without you destined to die alone? Never having known your tenderness my heart grows sad, then hardens eventually turning to stone
Still, this lone wolf wanders evermore and continues to search upon every shore
