Chapter LII: Molly Esther 

“Ballester, wake the f**k up!” Serge says over the intercom. 

“Huh? What?” Ballester says. 

“There’s a shrill woman here to see you." 

“A shrill woman?"  

“Yeah, she’s being a b***h.” 

“Alright, I’ll be out in a few.” He wakes up Gorgax. 

“What’s up?” Gorgax asks. 

“If it’s who I think is out there, I’m going to need you to beat her up for me.” 

“Not man enough to do it yourself?” 

“Have I ever hit you?” 

“Plenty of times.” 

“That’s sex, that’s different, I meant abuse.” 

“Ohhhh. Then no.” 

“I don’t abuse women. I’ll kill them, hell, I’ll beat them if I don’t know them, and she starts it. But when it comes to women I’m with, I don’t hit them unless we’re f*****g.” 

“So, who is this woman?” 

“If I’m right, it’s my ex wife.” 

“Ex wife?” 

“Yeah, we had a kid together, but she’s such a f*****g c**t, that one day I just split, I couldn’t take it anymore, and since it’s against my code to hit her, I figured I’d just leave. I felt bad for abandoning my son, but I couldn’t take him with me, that was when I enlisted in the service. After I came home, I pretended I never did and started doing some mercenary work, which almost got me in hot water with the law a few times, but I was able to afford anything to prove it wasn’t me. When I realized I’ve spent over a decade doing nothing but killing people, I realized I was scum, and so I joined the lab here as an experiment for bulletproof skin, hoping it would kill me. Ironic how I had no problem killing others, but taking my own life was just something I could never bring myself to do. So, I came here, was second in line, only to find out the test had been postponed for refinement, and instead they were doing cloning tests. That’s the opposite of what I wanted, and Scott volunteered. When the accident that made me immortal occurred, the first thing I did was try to kill myself by jumping into the Grinder. As I was exploring, I was abducted by your people, and the rest is history.” 

“But you still kill for a living, don’t you still feel like scum?” 

“At this point, I’m used it.” 

“Wow, we’ve been together for so long, and you’ve never told me that story.” 

“I’m not the kind of guy that opens up, but because it’s you, and because she’s here, I figured you should know the whole truth.” 

“So, if she hadn’t shown up, you wouldn’t have told me that story?” 

“I honestly don’t know. But, are you willing to be my backup?” 

“Of course.” She kisses him. They head to the lab, where a harsh looking, medium height woman with long blonde hair, brown eyes, and sagging skin is standing in the lab with her arms crossed, accompanied by a man that looks like Ballester, but younger. 

“You m**********r, how the f**k can you f*****g abandon us like that, you f*****g piece of f*****g s**t?” The woman starts yelling as soon as Ballester and Gorgax approach her. “And who the f**k is this? You replaced me? You’re a real f*****g piece of s**t, you know that? I wish I could fucking kill you, you vile, piece of f*****g s**t!” Mollyester yells. 

“Nice to see you too, Mollyester.” 

“No, don’t you f*****g dare! It’s just Molly! Molly EsTHer.” She says, accentuating the ‘th’, distinguishing it from his version. 

“Sallester, how are you doing, son? I’m sorry I left you like that, but as you can see, I couldn’t live with that anymore.” 

“It’s just Sal, dad. You just f*****g left, I was miserable without you, mom is mad all the time, and looking like you doesn’t help things. She loves me, but you really sent her off the deep end.” Sallester says. 

“No, she’s unbalanced, and refuses treatment, she’s always been like this.” Ballester says. “I’m sorry I left you, kiddo. Did you really change your names?” 

“Mom did, I didn’t. I just prefer the shortened version since it distanced myself from being associated with you.” 

“So why didn’t you change it?” 

“Because I was hoping to see you again some day. I liked having you around, and you just left, didn’t even say goodbye, I was devastated, I was just a little kid.” 

“I’m sorry, and for what it’s worth, it’s nice seeing you again. Her on the other hand can f**k off and die.” He says as he looks at Mollyester. 

“She’s my mother.” 

“I apologize. To you, not to her.” 

“Dad!” 

“You called me dad!” 

“Because you are, and you seem kind of different since the last time I saw you, but I can still see the man I used to know here and there.” 

“Are you done, you sap?” Mollyester says annoyed to Sallester. 

“Yeah, ma, I’m done.” 

“Good.” She takes a gun out of her purse and shoots Ballester multiple times in the head, until her clip is empty. Ballester’s head is basically in pieces on the floor next to his body. 

“Wow mom, I didn’t think you’d actually go through with it!” He starts crying hysterically, and she pistol whips him in the head. 

“Man the f**k up, you’re twenty five for f**k’s sake.” 

“But you just killed dad.” 

“I don’t bluff.” Ballester’s head has been slowly reforming, and they weren’t paying attention. 

“Get it all out of your system?” Ballester asks as he gets back up. 

“Dad!” Sallester says, excitedly. 

“NO!” Mollyester yells. 

“As a result of the accident here that destroyed the world, I’ve become immortal.” Ballester says. 

“No, that’s not f*****g fair!” Mollyester yells. 

“Sorry babe, I wasn’t thrilled at the thought before either, but it grew on me, I’m a superhero!” 

“A superhero?” Sallester asks. 

“I’ve kept the world safe from Chings and Scotts, and Zorkons, and I went into space, and helped the, well, mostly helped a solar system and destroyed a hostile alien species in the process. You’ve gotta give me some credit here.” 

“That’s uh, kinda cool.” 

“If you want, you can join my team.” 

“You have a team?” 
“Yeah, the hot dog security dog, the frog who provides the entire world’s supply of the drug that brought about world peace, a blind alien that saved us from certain death from Zorkons, which is how I got back home here on Earth. OH! You have to meet your half siblings.” 

“Siblings?” 

“Siblings?” Mollyester asks angrily. 

“Attention, Oigres, Nyvar, and Nogal, please report to the lobby for a special family announcement.” Ballester sends in the family group text. Soon, all three of them show up. “Oigres, Nyvar, Nogal, meet your older half brother Sallester and his c**t of a mom, Mollyester.” 

“MOLLY EsTHer!” 

“Yeah, yeah, calm down, b***h.” 

“You got with one of them, is this her? These are the product of- oh my Scorpious.” 

“What?” 

“I don’t think I can- this place is a freak show!” 

“This is my family you’re talking about. Calm the f**k down.” 

“I just- I didn’t know it was even possible!” 

“They are the future of this planet.” 

“I just- I don’t think I could. One of my neighbors is, he’s the only one on the block, and he weirds everyone out.” 

“Are you racist?” 

“No, you’ve met my friends.” 

“So you’re speciest?” 

“Maybe.” 

“Just because they’re different on the outside doesn’t mean they don’t have emotions.” 

“Hi, I’m Gorgax, Ballester’s life partner.” Gorgax says. 

“Life partner? Don’t you mean wife?” Molleyester asks. 

“We are not married in your traditional human way, he was attracted to my scent, which no other on my planet was able to do.” 

“Huh, your way seems strange.” 

“Likewise.” She looks around at Gorgax’s children. 

“I’m sorry. So what do you say we do about all this?” 

“You two are welcome to be in our union if you would like.” 

“Babe, I’m not sure that’s a good idea.” Ballester says. 

“No, it is improper. On our planet, everyone is family and your son carries the same DNA that is in our children.” 

“Well, yeah, I don’t mind if Sallester wants to join the family, but that b***h gotta go.” 

“No, she carries the DNA that courses through your son’s veins. If he’s family, she’s family. But only if they choose to, as they are human.” 

“Ugh, fine.” 

“Then it is decided, Molly Esther and Sal Sallone, would you like to join our family?” 

“If it means I can have a good time with my dad again, I will. And, I’m actually glad I have siblings, I’ve always wanted some, being an only child.” Sallester says. 

“Are you crazy? You’re just going to leave me after I took care of you after he left?” Mollyester says, angrily. 

“Mom, you’re abusive, and you really need help. Honestly, I think I might feel safer with them.” 

“Fine, I’ll join too, I’m not letting either of you out of my sight ever again!” 

“Then it’s settled.” Gorgax says. 

“Welcome to the family, I guess.” Ballester says. 

“I want to kill you again.” Mollyester tells Ballester. 

“Sure, you get one for every year I was gone.” 

“Twenty five? I get to kil you twenty five times?” She asks, excitedly. 

“Sure, it’s the least I could do for abandoning the both of you.” 

“Wow, it’s every angry housewife’s dream come true.” 

“You already killed me once, so you have twenty four left.” 
“Ugh, fine.”
