Chapter XCV: Ballester vs. Scott III: The Final BattleA Chapter by Scorpious AlphaChapter XCV: Ballester vs Scott III: The Final Battle Ballester is chilling with Serge in the lab. “What are you doing here? Don’t you have work to do?” Serge asks. “What do you mean?” “I mean you have Scotts to look for.” “Huh?” “Those two escapees.” “Will you let that go? I’ve looked everywhere, they’re probably dead, after all, they’re Scotts.” “Then find their bodies. Look, I know you’re bummed out, losing your brother and friends, but now I think you’re just taking advantage.” “Alright, alright, fine!” He goes to Gorgon’s lab. “Hey Gorgon, can I talk to Nogal?” “What’s up, dad?” Nogal asks. “Oh, I was wondering if you could fire up the plane, I need to find the missing Scotts. “Is that alright with you, sir?” Gorgon nods. “It might take awhile, you sure you can go without him for awhile?” Again, Gorgon nods. “Is he alright?” “He’s fine, let’s go.” About a month goes by before Ballester finally comes home with some great news. He rushes into Serge’s lab. “I think we found them!” “You think?” Serge asks. “We think they may be in Dickknob.” “Old world terminology, please.” “Oh, right, sorry. New Jersey.” “What part?” “Honkeytown.” “Again...” Serge looks annoyed. “Oh, uh, let’s see.” Ballester checks his map app. “Union City.” “Hah, that’s where I’m originally from.” “Really?” “Yeah. How can you be sure they’re there?” “Some locals say they saw them rooting around in the dumpsters looking for food before retreating into the sewers.” “So, why didn’t you go after the lead? Why come back and tell me?” “Because we came back for support. They got away last time, with enough people on our side, they’re not going to escape this time.” “Gotcha. Who are you taking?” “Along with Nogal, I’m taking Sallester, Oigres if he wants to come along, Xorda if she wants to come, and Nallester if he’s allowed. Considering our two security officers are gone, I’m going to need all the help I can get.” “Alright.” “We leave tomorrow morning. Hopefully we’ll get the drop on them.” “Sounds good.” “F**k yeah, hopefully by this time tomorrow, we’ll have those Scotts in custody and you can do what you want with them.” “Don’t f**k this up.” “Oh, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.” “Me too, after reviewing the security footage from that day, thanks to Eyes and Brains, I noticed a certain deity erased certain parts of our memory from that day.” “You’re f*****g joking.” Uh oh. “Nope, it’s almost like he’s hiding something.” “You b*****d!” Ballester shakes his fist at me, and I ignore him. “I’m going home, I’m going to rest up for this big mission.” “Good luck! Oh, and if you have to kill them, try to avoid their heads, I wanna study their brains.” “Sure thing, boss.” Ballester heads back to his apartment, where Xagrog is cooking dinner. “What’s up, babe?” “I missed you.” Xagrog says. “Sorry, but we found them!” “Finally! You being gone days at a time has me really horny.” “Real-really?” “It’s been a long time, and every time you came home, you went straight to bed after dinner. You know, I haven’t washed this whole time.” They eat dinner, then they f**k in the tank. “That was amazing, babe, you’ve never fucked like that before.” “Well, I watched tapes of you and Gorgax and decided to take notes.” “Well, your studying paid off.” “So, when are you leaving?” “As soon as I get up. I’m rounding up the kids, and we’re heading to Honkeytown, Dickknob.” “I want to come too.” “Are you sure you’re up for it?” “Definitely, I’ve been working on my marksmanship and combat skills, I think I’m ready.” “Sure, the more the merrier.” The next day, everyone boards the plane, and head to their destination. “All right, over here is where they were spotted searching through dumpsters. There’s a manhole there, so I suggest we start there. Everyone suited up?” Everyone but Sallester confirms. “All right, everyone have their intelligence monitors?” Everyone confirms. “Ok, we’re going to split up to cover more ground. Everyone set your locations, and...sync. Ok, whoever finds them, immediately contact the others. Kill any low intelligence Scotts, anyone under an eight, possibly higher. These Scotts talk like normal people, it’s a dead giveaway. We should all try our best to distract them until the whole family is together.” Everyone agrees. “All right, lock and load.” Ballester picks up the manhole with ease, and chucks it. They all head down and split in half, and with each branch, split in half again. Ballester and Sallester come across a Scott standing under a pipe with his mouth open. “Hey!” “I’m Scott!” Scott says. “What are you doing?” “Nummers time!” S**t falls out of the pipe and into his open mouth. ”Mmmmmmm!” Ballester shoots him in the head. “All right, let’s keep going.” He tells Sallester. They continue on their way through the sewer. “I guess this is the last Scott hunt, huh? After these two, the only ones left are on S**t Planet.” Sallester says. “Yeah, that’s a good point. Maybe I’ll get stationed there for population control. Or maybe I can retire with Xagrog and just live off my riches for the rest of my long... neverending... life.” “Really? Retirement? You?” “Kid, I’ve been killing people before you were born, I’ll probably eventually go back to it, but I’d like to take a break for maybe a decade or two, or at least until Xagrog dies.” “Do you think Serge or Scorpious will allow you to retire?” “They’d better.” They hear voices “Shh... listen.” They creep closer, and hide behind a wall. “This is great, we can live without being hunted like animals!” Smart Scott says. “Yeah, it’s so freeing!” Clone Scott says. Ballester and Sallester activate their GPS, sending a signal to the others of their position. “Freeze!” Ballester says, as he points his gun at Smart Scott, while Sallester points his gun at Clone Scott. “Aw, what the f**k?” Smart Scott asks. “I thought we made a deal that you weren’t going to hunt us anymore.” “I don’t recall any deal being made.” “You seriously forgot?” “I’ve been looking for you for the better part of a year. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY pulls a gun on my grandson.” “He did what?” Sallester asks. “Yeah, a poor little child with a gun to his head. Big man over here thought it was a good idea.” “You son of a b***h!” Sallester says, as he c***s his gun. “Just wait, son.” “Looks like we’re going to need backup.” Smart Scott says, as he cranks an old timey alarm that sends a pack of Scotts rushing to their position. “I had a feeling you’d try to find us one day, so I decided to prepare for that eventuality.” “Oh. No. Whatever will we do, Sallester?” Ballester says, sarcastically. “I don’t know dad, it looks like we’ve been defeated.” Sallester says, also sarcastically. “That’s right, now lay down your weapons.” Smart Scott says. Just then, a hail of gunfire and grenades blows through the crowd of Scotts. “NO! NO! NO!” The rest of the family surrounds the two Scotts. “F**k! Well, I’m not giving up without a fight!” He fires his gun at Sallester, hitting him in the chest, while Clone Scott shoots Xorda in the leg. “Sorry bro, my aim is off, lemme try again.” Clone Scott says. Just then, his body falls apart horizontally at the waist, dying. Nogal and Nallester, both with bloody knives stand up, and Oigres and Nogal each grab a half. “F**k!” “Time to give up.” Ballester says. “NEVER!” Ballester takes his shotgun, and blows a couple holes in Smart Scott’s torso. “I-” He drops to his knees and falls over. “Gotcha, you b*****d!” “It’s all coming back to me.” Ballester touches the blood, and notices it’s a gel like substance. “Ruzal?” “Dad? Mom?” “This is your mom from another dimension. Is it really you?” “Yes, I’m starting to remember now. When the Zorkons killed me, I respawned as a Scott, due to the infection.” “Oh my Scorpious.” “This is all my fault.” “Wait, who did Nogal and Nallester kill?” “The original Scott. I must have gotten his memories when I respawned.” “This is good though, right? You can come back as Ruzal and you can live your life again.” “I’m afraid it’s not that simple. Scotts can’t respawn, and I’m technically a Scott. Dying has just unlocked the memories that this body has repressed all these years.” “Look, we’ll get you home, and have Nyvar fix you back up, and then you can join the family.” “That would be... that would be... nice...” He dies in Ballester’s arms. “No, Ruzal! Speak to me! Come on, goddammit!” He shakes the body, but he just remains lifeless. Ballester bows his head, and carries Ruzal Scott out of the sewer and the family boards the plane. Nobody speaks a word the whole trip. They land at the lab, and the two halves of Scott and the body of Ruzal are brought in. “So, how’d it go?” Serge asks. “Well, we got them.” They lay the bodies on surgical tables, where Nyvar is waiting. “Wait a minute, this Scott has human blood, but this one has Galaxian blood...” Nyvar says. “Yeah, it turns out Smart Scott was Ruzal this whole time. The other Scott is the original. “Oh my...” She starts to cry. “I killed my own son, if you need me, I’ll be doing a shitload of drugs.” Xagrog reaches out to him, but he brushes her away as he heads for his apartment. “This can’t be easy for him, give him some space.” Serge tells everyone. “We thought for years that Ruzal was dead, but we never found a body. What I don’t understand is why he’s not waking up.” “He told us before he died, that because he’s a Scott, he can’t respawn.” Sallester tells him. “Damn, and if I try to clone him, I’ll just be cloning Scott again. You guys will get paid, me and Nyvar will perform the autopsies. Nyvar will do Scott, I’ll do Ruzal out of sensitivity for Nyvar.” “Thanks, boss.” Nyvar says through tears. © 2025 Scorpious AlphaReviews
