Poles Apart

Poles Apart

A Poem by Pól
"

Familiar theme of unrequited love

"

I don't want to hear

from worldstores or hot uk deals

I long for

my maori princess

warts and all

that fail to hide the beauty of her face

and gentle breath

24 hours,a world away

opposites attract

or so they say

but can they really

when set at such extremes

So I'll sleep, fitful

phone at ear

hoping for that voice

that sooths my pain

and quenches my thirst.
