Now on to this fine example of senru form. The complexity layered into this 5-7-5 is mind boggling. There's the social commentary, the political statement, and of course the autobiographical story of the candy stripper is totally endearing. I'm thoroughly amazed that you were able to slip in the comment about global warming and the hypocrisy of the protesting of Elizabeth Edward's funeral. Then there was the weaving of ancient Japanese mythology... Breathtaking. The goddess lolly to be licked? Genius. I'm not sure I wouldve had the conjure to call out Plato like you so obviously did here, but he'll, he's dead, how hard can he hit back? Right? This poem puts you in the league of Ralph Waldo limericson, Percy Helly, and Lord Bygones. Great job!
