Wishes and Rocks from Space

Wishes and Rocks from Space

A Poem by Azarel Szabo

As I watched the stars in their celestial motion
A shooting star (As some call it) came into view
As it faded away into the atmosphere
I made a wish
Closing my eyes
Somehow believing that a falling space rock would grant my wish
I thought of my most heart-felt desire
When I opened my eyes and saw you still lying by my side
I smiled
I guess wishes do come true
