Darling DaughterA Poem by desertravenDarling Daughter
Reflecting... The day she was born the perfect name? We were torn Ribbons and lace with an angel’s face sugar and spice and everything nice... OH REALLY? Fast forward threw the "tweens" right into the terrible teens! The make-up and hair the fashion despair hormones and mood swings PMS and other fun things the looks and the attitude not an ounce of gratitude boyfriends and curfew doing things they shouldn’t do piercings and tattoos on their bum revealing clothes her friends have some school projects and finals my sanity spirals dear, oh dear the Senior year so full of cheer graduation pictures and supplies watch how the money flies Senior skip day and the alibi’s Then comes the day she walks across the stage when the chaos is done made it threw the first one...
