I wait in the dark

For my phone screen to light up

Fo you to reply to me

For you to say something

I wait for a message

From you that is filled

With your words

And your words only

I wait for you to say something

I don't already know

Something you haven't said quite yet

Words I long to hear

I wait in the dark

For you to tell me something

Something I desperately hope for

Something I want so much

I want you to say the words

I cannot say to you

What I need you to say first

To give me the courage

I've waited for eternity

So I can say these words to you

I've hidden this from the world

But not from this diary

I love you

I want you to say you love me too

In a message sent to my phone

So I guess I'll just keep waiting.
