Heartfelt Weather Report

A cold steady wave of rain

Sky a carpet of blue and gray

Watching reflections crossing growing puddles

Skipping over miniature sinkholes and drains

Chilled down to the bone

Numbing of fingertips and toes

Soggy socks and steamy cups

A cozy bed and a pile of books await

This was pretty good. I like the idea of delivering a weather report poetically. You should try another one of these but with more pleasant weather in mind... if only for the contrast.
