Fade to Black

Here in the dark

twilight gleamed 

moments came and went

in record time

as flowers bloomed

and water quietly flowed

in pools of reminiscence

and old sepia tones

of shaded black and whites

with frayed corners

and tattered edges

of lost moments

and fallen hours

that never quite came together

when the music hushed

the stars fell

and the man in the moon

uttered in silent words

"Fade to black"
