Kisses at Daybreak

captured in a daydream

locked inside a moment

soft and scented like the subtle rain

on an Autumn sunrise morning

so effortlessly they came

the kisses at daybreak

holding on to you...

ambrosial moments

with sleepy eyes

that quietly whisper

good morning lover

you turned and opened the window

one last taste of morning mist

in the memory of a kiss

it the hold of a thought

in the power of daydream

kisses at daybreak

like colored moments

hanging in minds gallery

among old sepia's and black and whites 

Memories...  

........funny isn't it?

how some fade with age

while others remain so vibrant

the colors

the scent

the song

the touch

these memories

engraved in the mind

etcheted in the heart

and tattooed on the soul

so divine

as vivid as yesterday

as hopeful as tomorrow

and as tranquil as a gentle rain

on  an Autumn Daybreak morning.....
