My Balloon

My Balloon

A Poem by Aradie Rain

When I was a young Girl,

I blew up a balloon

Not with Air

Not with Helium

But with my hopes

and dreams

I filled up my balloon,

Tied it with a string,

placed it under my bed

As time passed my balloon was forgotten

Slowly deflating

Gathering the dusts of time

On the day I graduated from highschool

I found my balloon

Wrinkly and Deflated

So I blew it up again
