Can't Blame Me for Everything

Can't Blame Me for Everything

A Poem by Aradie Rain

Well I thought things would be different.

When we said I do.

I thought, we could live in peace.

I wouldn't have to fight for your eyes,

or cry myself to sleep.

I thought

when we had our first child.

You would stop your bad habits.

But our daughter grew.

She's a big girl now.

She knows where you go at night.

When your "working late"

Can't blame me for everything.

Can you?

I didn't tell her.

She found out all on her own.

Such a big girl.

If you had stopped when she was young,

She would still be your little girl.

But you didn't, and now she's gone.
