SerpentA Poem by ShawnaMy soul aches with disgust. Putrid flowers, singing of crows. Wine and dine me every night. Comfort my heart, help soften the blows.
Come in late, smiling upon entrance. You didn't even bother to call. You knew I would be waiting for you, Questioning everything I saw.
Sharp, wicked tongue. It spits tales of deceit. There's fire on your breath, blood on your razor sharp teeth.
Your skin is reptilious, Flames dance in your eyes. The slithering of your words, Makes my heart deaf to lies.
You wrap your charm around me, And squeeze until I bleed. Poison me with your song, That makes me want what I don't need.
Stretch your jaws wide open, Indulge me from head to toe. Swallow me with intentions, Promised to me long ago.
I promise not to squirm, I promise not to fight. Make me want you more, Devour me tonight. © 2013 ShawnaReviews
