So Simple

I wrote this as I listened to the full version of Simple and Clean but Utada Hikari (that's the name, right?) and thinking a little about the ending to Kingdom Hearts I. See the similarities? Written: 8/22/08 11:05 PM

If this were real,

he'd be truly walking away,
gliding selfishly across the sea of clouds,
carrying my somehow still intact last sigh,
my last, "I'll see you again -
Promise?"
We'd be parting as the void closed in,

stealing him, tailoring his new heroic soul
and teaching him the secret to saving
a far-flown heart.
